Since the beginning of 2021 Erik is part of Henkel’s IT leadership team as Head of Global Infrastructure. In this role Erik is responsible globally for Henkel’s Digital Workplace, Henkel’s datacenters, wide area and local networks for Henkel’s 500+ locations as well as cloud infrastructure and global IT support. Current focus topics include sustainability in IT infrastructure, evolution of the Digital Workplace post COVID, move to a hybrid cloud model and global roll-out of Software Defined WAN technology. Erik is passionate about new technologies, enabling his team and driving a holistic IT strategy to create tangible benefits for the business.
Before joining Henkel, Erik held various leadership positions at Bosch in Engineering IT, Enterprise IT and IT Strategy with focus topics in High Performance Computing, SAP datacenter operations and cloud strategy.
He studied aerospace engineering and numerical mathematics in Stuttgart and Oxford, before starting his career as software and algorithm developer in research.
